The art of catching your breath
Why the quiet moments matter more than the big milestones.
Hello friend,
I was sitting on a bench yesterday, watching Alex play with Florence, and I realised how often I’m mentally five steps ahead. I’m thinking about the next trip, the next school run, or the next big goal. It’s a habit that’s hard to break, but I’m learning that life happens in the pauses.
Parenting has taught me that we don’t need a grand itinerary to be happy. Sometimes, a slow afternoon and a good conversation are enough to reset everything. It’s about finding that balance between the “busy” and the “being” – something I’m still figuring out every single day.
I wanted to share this because I suspect I’m not the only one feeling this way. How do you find your quiet in the middle of the noise?
Warmly,
Adrian
